A restaurant designed for long evenings.

ThisTleAndToken is a contemporary Australian restaurant for generous shared tables, considered food and drinks, and the kind of conversation that makes a meal unhurriedly become an evening with friends.

Daylight has its own rhythm.

The Dining Room is the daylight heart of the restaurant: an Australian-inspired setting shaped by light oak, white terrazzo, eucalyptus timber, linen and contemporary lighting. It feels composed without becoming formal, leaving room for lunch, dinner and the easy possibility of keeping a table a little longer. Materials are tactile, the room stays open, and the atmosphere gives shared conversation somewhere comfortable to land.

Designed for the table to linger: shared courses can slow the pace, a second round of drinks can extend it, and friends joining later can make the restaurant part of the evening's social entertainment rather than simply its first stop.

  • White terrazzo
Cool, bright surfaces keep the room calm through the earlier hours.
  • Light oak & eucalyptus
Timber brings warmth and an unmistakably Australian sense of ease.
  • Linen & contemporary light
Soft texture and sculptural illumination carry the room toward evening.

A Lounge with room to settle in.

The Lounge is a comfortable place to arrive before dinner, move to after a meal, or simply continue a conversation over cocktails. Bouclé seating, small oak tables, art books, ribbed glass and textured plaster create a softer pace beside the restaurant. Decorative cards sit quietly among the details, a subtle nod to the rooms beyond rather than a theme. Food & drinks remain part of the evening, but there is no need to rush their rhythm.

Arrive

Meet over an early drink, take a moment away from the street, and let the evening begin with the people already at your table.

Pause

Step from dinner into softer seating, linger over cocktails, and give conversation space to find its own direction.

Continue

After sunset, reconnect with the card lounge when your company is ready for another shared room.

“A table can be dinner, a drink, a conversation—or the beginning of the next room.”

The Lounge makes that transition feel natural, keeping the focus on company and an offline, social evening rather than spectacle.

Food and drinks set the pace.

At ThisTleAndToken, food and drinks are the connective thread between a daylight meal, an easy cocktail and a later social evening. A considered table, shared plates and time together make the restaurant feel less like a stop on the way somewhere else and more like the place where the night begins to unfold.

One room leads naturally to the next, while the hospitality stays close.

At the table

For dinner that does not rush.

Ceramic, linen and timber give a shared table a sense of occasion without asking it to perform. Food arriving, glasses being topped up and conversation moving around the table create a rhythm that is relaxed, attentive and built for the people gathered there.

At the bar

For a drink that stays awhile.

A cocktail can be an arrival, a pause or a reason to stay in the Lounge a little longer. It is an easy bridge between dinner and the softer social energy of the card lounge, without changing the tone of the night.

After sunset

For the next chapter of the night.

As the evening deepens, food and drinks remain part of the convivial setting close to the physical card room. Guests who are curious can explore offline poker as an in-person social experience, while the restaurant's warmth remains the constant.

Offline poker. Great food. One memorable table.

After sunset, the Dining Room and Lounge can lead naturally into the offline poker room. Here, social entertainment happens in person around physical poker tables, with cards, conversation, shared food and cocktails all belonging to the same hospitality-led night. The Card Lounge and Card Room are real spaces for real company; any chips are decorative or entertainment elements only, with no financial association.

Explore Offline Poker

A card room built for company.

The card room is an in-person space for guests who want to continue the evening around physical poker tables. Offline poker here is social recreation: hosts, conversation, table manners and the pleasure of sharing a room matter as much as the cards. It is a companion to the restaurant experience, not a separate world from it.

In-person social recreation

Physical

At the table, in the room.

Cards and tables belong to a shared, in-person setting. Any entertainment chips are decorative elements only, with no monetary value or financial association, so the focus stays on people, conversation and the physical room.

Social

Part of the night, not apart from it.

Offline poker sits beside the Restaurant, Food & Drinks and Card Lounge as another way to spend time with friends. Moving between spaces keeps the evening connected through hospitality and social entertainment.

Bring your people to the table.

A restaurant evening can become a shared gathering in more than one way. ThisTleAndToken welcomes enquiries about dining, poker sessions, private gatherings and themed events, with arrangements discussed around the shape of your group rather than fixed packages. Start with the company you are bringing, then let the evening find its pace.

Dining together

A shared Restaurant table gives food and drinks a central place in the conversation. Continue through the Lounge when the meal is done, keep people close, and make room for the kind of gathering that does not need to end at dessert.

Private card session

A private card session can extend the evening into the Card Room, centred on guests, physical Poker Tables and in-person social recreation. It is a hosted continuation for a group that wants conversation and shared social entertainment around one real table.

Themed poker evenings

Themed poker evenings bring a different atmosphere to the room through shared rituals, hosts, cocktails and physical cards. Decorative entertainment chips may appear as part of the setting, while the focus remains on company and the energy of gathering together.

A few useful details.

Before you plan the shape of your evening, these practical points help explain how the in-person card experience sits alongside the restaurant.

Is the poker experience in person?

Yes. Offline poker happens in the venue, in the Card Room, around physical poker tables with guests and hosts present. It is not a remote or screen-based experience. The emphasis is on an in-person social setting where cards, conversation and the shared room are all part of the evening.

What do the chips represent?

Any poker chips that appear are decorative or entertainment elements only. They have no monetary value and no financial association; they simply support the physical, social atmosphere of the table.

Can dinner be part of a private or themed evening?

Yes. Dining can sit at the centre of a private gathering or themed poker evening, with Restaurant hospitality and social entertainment carried through the night. Make an enquiry about dining, poker sessions, private gatherings or themed events, and the team can discuss the shape of your evening.
